The museum is located on the 9th floor of the Teigeki Building. The address is 3-1-1, Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
Please use the Idemitsu Museum elevator for access.

Open hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (entrance until 4:30 p.m.) and on Fridays, the museum is open until 7:00 p.m. (entrance until 6:30 p.m.).
The museum is closed on Mondays (excluding holidays. The museum will be open on that Monday and closed the following day.) and during the change of exhibits.

General Admission is ￥1,200. For High School and College Students, the price is ￥800, and Junior High School Students or Younger can enter for free (with Parent or Guardian).
*There is a ￥200 discount for persons with disability with the presentation of the Physical Disability Certificate and Free Admission for 1 Caretaker.

Reservations are not required.

There are no discounts.

Groups of 20 or more receive a discount of ￥200 each.

The museum shop is available only during open hours of the museum. Visits only to the museum shop are also permitted.

Please refrain from bringing foods and drinks (including candy, gum, bottled drinks) inside the museum (including the elevator hall).
There is a tea services corner (free) inside the museum. Drinking is only permitted at the lobby space with sofas.

There is a coin-returning locker (free) available. For bags and luggages that do not fit in the lockers, please inquire the General Information desk.

There are no parking spaces for the museum. Please use available parking spaces located around the museum. The parking for the Teigeki Building is the "International building garage."

No. However, entering the museum with service dogs is allowed.

There is a slope in one of the gallery rooms (Gallery 1). The museum does not have restrooms for wheelchair-users. For visitors who would like to use one, please use the restroom on the B1 Floor of the the Teigeki Building. For more information, please visit the General Information desk.

If you would like to feed or change diapers for your child, please inquire the General Information desk. The staff will escort you to the appropriate facility inside the museum.

The museum holds temporary exhibitions featuring its collection. Other exhibits include the Rouault room, the Ceramics Sherds Room, and the Tea Ceremony Room called "Chōseki-an." For the preservation purposes of artworks, there may be change of exhibits during the exhibition period.

*Due to reconstruction plans of the building, the museum will temporarily close beginning from January 2025.

Museum curators will do a gallery tour of the exhibition highlights (approx. 45 min). Visitors are welcome to join for free but admission fee is required for entering the museum (no reservation required). For more information, please see the Events page (only in Japanese).

Photos, videos, and sound recording inside the museum is not permitted (except for the view outside the window at the lobby area).

Use of ballpoint pens, mechanical pencils, fountain pens or brushes that may stain the exhibits is not permitted. Please use pencils.
