Considering the current situation of the coronavirus COVID-19 infection showing no definitive sign of convergence, the temporal closure of the Idemitsu Museum of Arts will continue. Due to the continuation of the closure of the museum, the exhibition “The Esthetics of Cha no Yu” is cancelled and the next exhibition “The Brilliance of Japanese Art―Byōbu-e and Hand Painted Ukiyo-e” (scheduled from June 15, 2021) will be suspended.
We apologize to all the visitors who have been looking forward to visiting these exhibitions at our museum. Regarding the exhibitions in the following months, the schedule may be drastically changed. We shall inform you about the future exhibitions, together with the date of restart of our museum, in the museum website, so please check the site for further updates.
